Loma Rica Browns Valley Community Services Mission Statement
MISSION
The mission of the Loma Rica/Browns Valley Community Services District is to protect life and property from fire and other natural or man caused hazardous situations in a cost effective manner. Within available funding, this effort will consist of four equally important functions:
- Prevention
- Fire Suppression
- Emergency Medical and Rescue Services
- Training
PREVENTION
The goals of the prevention effort will be to prevent or reduce the loss of life and property through public education on fire and injury prevention, positive health care, and home or self-emergency care. In addition, the effort will include the reduction of hazards through a fire hazard engineering and inspection program.
FIRE SUPPRESSION
Goals of the fire suppression effort will include a well equipped and trained initial attack system designed to suppress fires in the early stages and to reduce insurance costs to the District residents by lowering and maintaining a cost effective ISO rating.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL AND RESCUE SERVICES
Goals of the emergency medical and rescue effort will be to provide emergency basic life support; vehicle accident scene support and vehicle extrication; conduct limited rescues, and assist other agencies in major search and rescue operations.
TRAINING
Training goal is to develop within the District’s personnel the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to accomplish safely and efficiently those goals outlined under the Prevention, Fire Suppression, and Emergency Medical and Rescue portions of this section
